I've been on a remarkable journey for over 30 years in the higher education realm and now in the nonprofit sector with VAMOS to empower first-generation college students from low socio-economic backgrounds to help them reach their full potential through education.
I've dedicated my career to helping students overcome adversity and daily challenges, develop resilience, and encourage them to persevere despite the many hurdles they face as education is a particularly powerful tool for our students; it plays a crucial role in breaking the cycle of poverty and opening a world of opportunities. It's been a lifelong commitment to making education a beacon of hope for students.
