UTRGV Scholarship Coordinator
Teresa Villarreal has been a higher education professional for more than 20 years. Teresa began her career as a Regional Admissions Counselor for Texas A&M University Kingsville in 2002. From 2005-2013 Teresa worked for Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, expanding the universities presence beyond the Coastal Bend area. For both universities, Teresa assisted students from across the Rio Grande Valley with the college admissions, scholarship, and the financial aid process. In 2014, she began working in the Financial Aid Office at UTPA. Since the inception of UTRGV in 2015, Teresa has had various roles within the Financial Aid and Scholarship Offices. Teresa’s priority has always been helping students and families by providing assistance with financial aid and scholarships.
