Associate Dean Dual Credit Programs
Antonio De La Cruz; South Texas College Associate Dean for Dual Credit Programs. After 20 years in manufacturing, Antonio transitioned to higher education to promote and support dual credit initiatives. Antonio has seen firsthand the implications of not having an education as it relates to employability. Antonio believes an early introduction to a college level culture can increase student engagement resulting in college completion and improve a student’s upward mobility. Antonio holds an undergraduate degree in International Business and an M.B.A. from The University of Texas Pan American.
Coordinator Dual Credit Academic Pathways
For over a decade, Marco has devoted his career to South Texas College, with nine years specifically dedicated to Dual Credit programs. His journey at the college began in Student Services, where he focused on recruitment, admissions, and enrollment. Presently, he holds a role in the Academic Affairs Division as a Coordinator for the Dual Credit Academic Pathways Department. Marco conducts orientations for first-time Dual Credit students, offers academic advising, ensures students are informed with the resources available to them at South Texas College, and provides guidance to help them focus on achieving academic success.
Marco passionately believes that Dual Credit represents an extraordinary opportunity to bridge the gap for students who may view college as beyond their reach, transforming it into an attainable reality.
